Pricing
Every format, the inspector, contrast checking — never gated on the free tier. You're paying to lift ceilings, not to unlock the tool.
One paid tier. $19 a year, for everything.
Ember is heading to the App Store on Mac and iPhone. The iPhone app and iCloud syncing arrive with it — what you can run today.

One paid tier, priced once a year. There is no seat to buy and no team plan to compare against — anyone paying can start a team, and everyone in it pays for their own Ember.
Before you pay anything
Free is the whole app with lower ceilings, and you can stay there as long as you like.
Free is a real tier
Three palettes, one project, twenty-five codes — and the workbench, the picker and the scanner in full. Not a sampler with the good parts removed.
Try Pro first
Start the free trial from inside Ember. The App Store runs it, so cancelling is one tap in your Apple account and it stops before it ever charges.
Nothing is held hostage
Stop paying and Ember goes back to free ceilings for making new things. Everything you already have stays on your Mac, openable and exportable.
Questions people actually ask
What happens to my palettes if I stop paying?
They stay on your Mac. Ember goes back to the free tier's limits for making new ones, but nothing you already have is deleted, locked or held hostage.
Where do I buy it?
The App Store, on both Mac and iPhone. One purchase covers both, and it works with Family Sharing. Apple handles the payment, the receipt and the tax, so there is no separate account to make and nothing of your card ever reaches us.
Does my clipboard history leave my Mac?
No. Clipboard history never syncs — not between your own Macs, not to us. Palettes and projects sync when you sign in; the history stays local and encrypted at rest.
Do I need an account to use it?
Not to download it, and not to use the picker, the workbench or local palettes. An account is only for syncing between machines and sharing with other people.
Can I use it on more than one machine?
Yes. Pro follows you, not a machine — every Mac you sign in on, and your iPhone, from the one purchase.
What if I don't get on with it?
Ask Apple for a refund — they hold the purchase, so they are the ones who can give the money back, and it takes a couple of minutes from your Apple account. Write to us either way if something is wrong with the app; we would rather fix it than lose you quietly.
